This attraction arguably had the longest line throughout the entire night. The attraction itself has hundreds of different routes that one can take within it and will force its hosts to travel on their own. For the most part, minus the chilling guides that point down a pathway, the scare factor this attraction holds is definitely a 9/10. Through the darkened long hallways, one has to feel their way along while volunteer actors may pop out of any crevice at any time.

We have a Photo Kiosk where souvenir pictures can be purchased after we take them. You can take pictures with your cellphone camera in the midway, but everywhere else on the property is prohibited. If you have trouble walking, walk with a cane or have knee/hip/ankle issues, please be aware that there are areas where the ground is uneven, the floors move and passages are very narrow. It may be difficult for you to navigate these areas. For your safety, the use of crutches or canes is not allowed in any of the attractions. It is very important that you have proper footwear to go through our attractions to keep you safe!

These times are for the attractions themselves and do not take into account lines or how busy the Park may be. Although we do have many small children go through the Haunted House and are delighted, we cannot recommend it. If your child is afraid of the dark, then definitely not.

Muir, originally from Florida, moved to Weaverville with her husband, Brian, in 1996, so he could work for a gold mine. They bought the hotel in 2002 and spent two years carefully renovating it, maxing out their credit cards and borrowing against their life insurance. The hotel is a jewel of Weaverville’s Gold Rush-era Main Street, also home to the Nugget Restaurant and the Diggins pub. In mountainous Trinity County — where timber crashed and legal marijuana is now doing the same — boosters are working hard to draw tourists.
