Review: The Niles Haunted House Scream Park The PENNANT Online

niles haunted house

This attraction arguably had the longest line throughout the entire night. The attraction itself has hundreds of different routes that one can take within it and will force its hosts to travel on their own. For the most part, minus the chilling guides that point down a pathway, the scare factor this attraction holds is definitely a 9/10. Through the darkened long hallways, one has to feel their way along while volunteer actors may pop out of any crevice at any time.

Niles Scream Park announces closure of Haunted Hayride, new attraction to take its place

We have a Photo Kiosk where souvenir pictures can be purchased after we take them. You can take pictures with your cellphone camera in the midway, but everywhere else on the property is prohibited. If you have trouble walking, walk with a cane or have knee/hip/ankle issues, please be aware that there are areas where the ground is uneven, the floors move and passages are very narrow. It may be difficult for you to navigate these areas. For your safety, the use of crutches or canes is not allowed in any of the attractions. It is very important that you have proper footwear to go through our attractions to keep you safe!

These times are for the attractions themselves and do not take into account lines or how busy the Park may be. Although we do have many small children go through the Haunted House and are delighted, we cannot recommend it. If your child is afraid of the dark, then definitely not.

California reaches electric vehicle charger milestone

Two final “black-out” nights will be hosted from 7 to 10 p.m. What begins as a thrilling exploration quickly transcends into a nightmarish struggle for survival as your group find themselves hunted by malevolent forces from beyond the grave. Trapped within the crypt’s cursed walls, you must confront their deepest fears and unravel the crypt’s dark history.

Some people have even reported seeing Faith’s spirit in the form of a translucent shadow donned in a pink gown, and on rare occasions, holding a bouquet of flowers. Notably, Faith never threatens during her encounters. Rumors say that this remote fort location – once home to Ulysses S. Grant – is home to the ghost of a deceased commander from the late 19th century. According to the Visit California website, the military official died in 1897 after contracting malaria, but his spirit never left. His ghost allegedly watches hikers through hospital windows as they stroll through the historic site.

Probably “that tramp” ghost that lives here,” said Gail Klauer, 70, a retired chief of staff for a Yolo County supervisor, who was there with her wife, Terri LeDoux, a retired jail commander. Sipping their vodka on the Niles’ second-floor landing in glasses brought from home, the women pointed to the old portraits on the walls, making up names and stories about each of them. They hadn’t heard it while they walked the halls. For years, Mohr has played bridge with girlfriends in the Niles Hotel lobby every week, sitting by the big picture windows, watching people walk by.

If you're looking for a unique experience on your next visit to northern Arizona, consider a stop at one of these hotels that some have claimed over the years are haunted. The house does transform into a haunted mansion for Halloween, but guests might find the labyrinth of rooms creepy any time of year. Guests can check into the glamorous hotel for a chance to see the rich and famous, dead or alive.

Police released video from a hotel elevator that showed her acting strangely in the hours before her disappearance. She can be seen stepping into the elevator and pressing multiple buttons, then peeking outside. Later, she steps out of the elevator and waves her arms, but no one else is ever shown in the video. Any disorderly conduct will not be tolerated and immediate ejection will result. We also do not recommend it for those who have heart conditions, pregnant woman or any other physical condition that could be affected by a strobe light or being scared. 4) You got so scared that we had to remove you via our hidden doors and secret passages.

The Winchester Mystery House, which started as an eight-bedroom farmhouse, was purchased and renovated by Sarah Winchester after her husband and daughter died. Paranormal researchers say they have recorded supernatural activity in the room using high-tech equipment. In 1892, Kate Morgan checked into the Hotel del Coronado but never checked out. The 24-year-old stayed there for five days waiting for a visitor.

The ratio of actors to animatronic figures was low. ONLY VALID ON SUNDAYS (OCTOBER 8TH | 15TH | 22ND). This deal is ONLY offered ONLINE through our timed ticketing reservation system. Use Promo Code “SUNDAYSLASHER” to initiate the deal for either the regular Frightful Nightful Combo Ticket or the Frightful Nightful Plus Combo Ticket. The second floor houses a Theater Room Museum where distinct outlines of sleeping bodies have been found in the dust on the beds — sightings that have been attributed to a former chambermaid. In the downstairs bar, spirits often lift money off the bar and raise glasses into the air.

This particular attraction scored a higher rating than the Cursed Crusade because there were more live actors in The Basement, instead of pop up animatronics that are not all that terrifying. The highlight has to be toward the end, when an actor, who was a part of the midway, made his way into the attraction, pretending to be a statue in a corner. The scare factor for this attraction is an easy 7/10.

Alongside the famous burros roaming the area, the Oatman Hotel is one of the best-known buildings in the small town along Route 66. The hotel was originally built in 1902 and survived three major fires that nearly destroyed the town over the course of just a few years. Today, the Oatman Hotel is a well-known destination for paranormal enthusiasts and welcomes curious visitors from far and wide. The spirits of former staff, famous guests, pets and more are reported to still roam the halls and interact with guests. But luckily for today's visitors, most of the spirits are reported to be friendly.

We request that you PRINT or SCREENSHOT all of your tickets to streamline admission to each attraction. We can also scan from a mobile device, but it takes longer and slows everything down. Please have your mobile device out, ready and with the brightness fully up for redemption as you approach each attraction ticket scanner. If you’re going to use a mobile device, you’re STRONGLY encouraged to “screenshot” the barcodes or QR codes that were sent to you. On busy nights, the cellular tower next door that every service plan is connected to will be “bogged” down and it will cause very slow connection speeds as you try to present your tickets. If you’re not ready at each attraction entrance, you will be asked to step aside to allow the next person/group to enter until you’re ready.

The Scream Park is not liable for any damage to your personal wheelchair and will provide an alternate wheelchair if you are concerned your chair will be damaged. Please note that oversized and motorized wheelchairs are prohibited. In 1998, the Niles Haunted House relocated to its present location on Mayflower Road. The Niles Haunted House, however, remains the feature attraction of the Scream Park. The Field of Screams was the most terrifying and time-consuming attraction in the park. From the moment one enters, they are greeted with frights and scares.

For more information on tickets, prices and dates and times of operation, visit haunted.org or call (269) 687-FEAR. You must either purchase FOUR regular Frightful Nightful Combo Packages or FOUR Frightful Nightful Plus Combo Packages. You CANNOT mix and match this deal between the two package options. This deal is NOT valid with any other offer, promotion or discount.Tickets can only be used on the night they are purchased!

Up in Alturas — where the town motto is “Where the West Still Lives” — the three-story Niles Hotel is the beating heart of a Main Street lined with empty storefronts. Muir, originally from Florida, moved to Weaverville with her husband, Brian, in 1996, so he could work for a gold mine. They bought the hotel in 2002 and spent two years carefully renovating it, maxing out their credit cards and borrowing against their life insurance. The hotel is a jewel of Weaverville’s Gold Rush-era Main Street, also home to the Nugget Restaurant and the Diggins pub. In mountainous Trinity County — where timber crashed and legal marijuana is now doing the same — boosters are working hard to draw tourists. Among the redwoods in Humboldt County, there’s the Scotia Lodge.
